Melina's Top 5: What I Wish I Knew in First Year...

This is an archived post from March 3, 2017 written by Melina during her 4th year in the Environmental Management stream of the Bachelor in Environmental Studies.  As an upper year student, Melina used the blog to share some of her tips and tricks for succeeding in the program.

Melina's Top 5:

  1. Get involved socially with students from the faculty.
  2. Take electives outside of faculty, so that you can learn about other subjects completely unrelated to environmental studies.
  3. Take advantage of the Writing Centre resources.
  4. Get involved with professors outside the classroom.
  5. Attend conferences and talks at the University outside of class hours.
