Emmanuel's Top 5: What I Wish I Knew In First Year...

This is an archived post from March 3, 2017 written by Emmanuel during his 4th year in the Environmental Politics, Justice and Arts stream of the Bachelor in Environmental Studies.  As an upper year student, Emmanuel used the blog to share some of his tips and tricks for succeeding in the program.

 

 

Emmanuel's Top 5:

  1. Use the resources available through Founders College. Mainly, look into the many opportunities to meet other students by joining the intramural teams and taking part in the various activities they offer.
  2. Look into the numerous scholarships available and how useful they could be to boosting your resume.
  3. Don't overload yourself with course work.
  4. Be aware of what is going on campus. Keeping an eye out for workshops, panels, and presentations that you could benefit from.
  5. Look into the various school clubs and volunteer or join the ones you find to be interesting.
